Calcium Hypochlorite is a white to greyish-colored powdered compound having a chemical formula of Ca(OCl)2 with an average molar mass of 142.98 grams per mol. It shows excellent oxidizing properties that may intensify fire. The direct skin contact of this corrosive compound result in burns and serious eye damage hence it is advised to handle it with extra care. Calcium Hypochlorite is highly incompatible with reducing agents, phenol, combustible materials, and reducing agents.
